• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

And I see several bottles of Steven Raichlen's Chipotle Molasses barbecue sauce. Bought one!

Anyone tried it?

Arlin

Only in Choctaw, Oklahoma could a person find sauce in a bookstore.

Walk through the purple curtain.

First 2 minutes is only a buck

Plenty of sauce in the bookstore

He failed to clarify that it was the comic book section of the local supermarket. And no, I haven't tried it yet. Scott

I buy books at the Grocery store.

Arlin, do they sell bread and milk as well?

Being honest here. Went to Menards a while back.......Its the #3 handyman/builder big box store. They sell lumber, toilets, tools, candy ect. They now sell milk, bread, peanuts, pop and its like a micro grocery store. My daughter in law works there and said they sell the heck outta food products.

Diversification sp? is what most businesses are doing nowdays for sure and its working so it seems.

Poor Arlin... (I've got your back on this one)

My son is a manager for Border's books. They have a large stand alone display of Steven Raichlen's books, rubs, sauces, bbq tools. I bought his "beer can chicken" stand there.

i was at Barnes & Noble today & bought "Dr. BBQ's Road Trip". Didn't see any sauce.

Borders books was selling loads of Raichlin rubs and sauces for Fathers Day, my wife had seen them and asked about the coffee rub, she wanted to know if I was interested in it as a Fathers day gift from her and the kids, she saw it was one of the small jars for around $13.00 and wondered about getting 2 or 3.

They had the "Barbeque Bible" and "How to Grill" amongst others, so I opened the one where he gives the recipe for his coffee rub and I quoted the recipe to her, as she read down the ingredient list, it was unsurprisingly the same.

So she asked if I would do the rub from the recipe as she'd like to try it, I cooked up a couple of butts that weekend, with the coffee rub recipe, and both she and the kids all loved the flavor, (me too).

I can't speak to the Chipolte sauce, but I would think that will be in the same book or one of his others. So if you like it, I'm sure you can save the money and make your own next time.
