The Sunday afternoon cook is on!

Just put on a 7# flat. the ribs are going on at 1:00 along with the chicken and the 2# log of homemade sausage. Tried a new marinade for the brisket, ribs and chicken. Hope it works out. I was suppose to have help from my comp team members, however they seemed to come up with more importants things to do on a HOT sunday in Kansas City.

104 here today in North Texas. Mrs. Thillin headed to Mississippi with the boy so I'm home alone for the week. When it cools down a little, I have a 1/2 pound jalapeno/cheddar beef patty to grill.

I hate to dissappoint but I don't have a digital camera. My Ex-fiance has it. She was a photo person. Sorry can't post pics. I can tell you my chicken came out very nice. I will be proud to turn this chicken in at my next comp. Sausage was great. Can't wait for my next comp that has a sausage catagory. Look out Blue Springs, MO! :grin: Now for the Brisket. It was first time using Fab-B. Brisket was very juicy just not a whole lot of flavor. I have cooked better. I normally do wholes for comp. Now for the ribs. Cooked perfectly tender, but dry and not much flavor outside of my rub and sauce.:sad: I guess ribs are still a work in progress. Back to the old drawing board.
