Here it is folks... this newbie took the advice of you BBQ Kings & Queens and produced a very tasty meal for my friends and family. Thank you for all the advice! I did the spares 3-2-1 and they just melted off the bone! It was a hit! The tri-tip came out pretty tasty too. I was impressed at just how great the corn on the cob went as well! I popped them in the smoker after I put the spares in the cooler... let them cook for about 30min, then threw them on my brick pit bbq to grill them up a bit before I threw them back into the smoker at 200 for about 45 more minutes. It was great. :becky:

Thanks everyone!! The grate is flattened steel that i got from my neighborhood welding shop. it has diamond shapes.... not sure what a Santa Maria style is... what is that??
 
ya! Thats it then. Didnt know that was what that was called. Learning more and more everytime i log in! HaHa!!! :becky:
