And I also pass on my heartfelt thanks to all my fellow veterans - the sacrifice is steep, but never in vain.

After 22 yrs in the Marine Corps, I have had the pleasure of serving for, and with, a few of the most patriotic and faithful sons and daughters of this wonderful country.

Today we remember the fallen, and their families.

On a personal note - I remember Rick Crocker - KIA Al Anbar Province 2005.

To Rick, guarding Heaven's Scenes, and his family, thank you.

To my family, friends and to those whom I've never met in the military, thank you for allowing me the freedom to do trivial, frivolous things like bbq while you put your lives on the line.

Thanks, I appreciate the kind thoughts.

Vietnam Veteran 1965 - 1967

Just wanted to pass on a huge THANK YOU to all our past, present and future veterans. Our family can't thank you all enough for what you do. We're off to our small town parade in a bit. Have never missed one yet. Anyways thank you all.

Thanks from me also. It's been a busy weekend. I belong to the Patriot Guard, and had the honor to escort a fallen Marine at his funeral Saturday.

Then today I was part of between 500 to I don't know how many bikers that escorted a piece of beam from the World Trade Center to it's resting place in a memorial garden in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. :clap2::clap2:

The scene was awesome with a parade down I95 about 5 miles long. Traffic stopped along the way. People out of their cars waving and cheering. Not at all upset that they had to wait for us. Much more fun than the funerals I do.

Thank you all for your support! :clap2::clap2:

Thanks to all those who have served, are serving, and will serve. :clap2:
Next time you see military personnel take a moment to say "Thank You"

Also take a moment today and think of those and their families who have paid the ultimate price to keep this country FREE, so that we may continue to play with smoke and fire.

Ya, thanx to all serving in ANY branch. My best friend Was deployed last week. I thank you all for your time, strength, honor, integrity, lives, and above all SACRIFICE so that i can do things such as plant a garden, bbq, cook, practice my religion and watch TV. Im very grateful for your sacrifice.

A BIG THANK YOU!!!!

Here is an awesome poem that i hope we all appreciate!

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his soldiers and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills just got too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgement of his God.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
