Our last nite in Texas City after we tore everything down from the cookoff(pics coming I promise). This is in front of the garage at my sisters house. I was so damn tired I could barely lift the Budlight to my mouth to wash it all down. That dude with his hand in the shrimp is my older brother.

I did a low country boil on Saturday night!!! It is one of our favorites non-Q meals.

Yours looks great.

Yes. Please please tell...

When we steam a pound or so just for a meal, we just use a cheap beer and Old Bay. What you got in that pot besides the citrus??

See that "crawfish pot" in my signature? I was into boils long before Q. That really looks like a great meal. Hope y'all had fun.

Man that looks so farkin good. Only thing better than shrimp is crawfish!! lol

Looks damned tasty! That's one of the things I miss about Texas.

Louisianna Crab and Crawfish boil(in a bag). I think we got it at HEB or something.
Let me tell you, after consuming smoked meat for 5 days it was a nice a change....

Since the pictures are no longer available for viewing, I will just try to imagine what it looks like. We usually do a shrimp boil on Friday of the Pork Expo. We know we will be porked out by the end of the next day.

Thanks for sharing those pics. That looked really good.

When I lived in Fla I worked for a guy whose cousin ran a few shrimp boats. Once a year the guy bought the whole catch and everyone at work got to take all they could clean. Coming from the Chesapeake Bay area, I didn't boil them, I always steamed them with lots of spice too. Those were some good times. I think by the end of the week everyone was tired of shrimp.

My first real job was when I was 14 years old. I worked in the crab house in Baltimore Md. The place was called the Corral and they had some of the best crabs and shrimp at the time in Baltimore. In later years I had heard the place went downhill. It was hard work. i bussed tables for about four waitresses and they kept me humping. I made about $20 a night, each of the girls gave me $5, one night a guy gave me a $20 tip though. After that I learned to kiss ass a little better but soon quit because it was hard work and even then I realized it was very little pay. I worked from 7PM until closing around 2AM. I did spend lots of time in the kitchen eating shrimp and crab cakes though. Not the kind of crabcakes you get at restaurants these days. Theirs were all crab meat, now days with crab meat at $15 per pound, that isn't happening anymore.
