• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Well, by my count we have half the state of Texas in this group.

Any you Texans want to check the feasibility of a giant bash down there?

Anyone know of forest preserve/camp ground mods available, or is it all farking desert.

Bill,
Does seem that the Texas Farkers dominate
We don't have them all yet. I have one more son North of Plano to get Qing with us.
He happens to live on 10 gorgeous acres--Hummm
I call it the "Ponderosa".
Need to get to work on that Kiddo.
We are up for a Texas Bash anytime.

Forest would describe a small portion (probably about the size of Illinois) of the state. Gotta watch out for the farking logging trucks, especially near the Arkansas border. Something close to DFW or Houston would probably work the best for travel.

My spring is already booked but I can look into some of the options.

Maybe my brother in laws place in Houston

I'll ask.

How far North ? I'm in McKinney
22 Looonnnggg miles from you!
He is North of Blue Ridge and FrogNot on a County road.
Lives in a "mansion" amongst the farms and woods.
Karen and I will be there around Labor Day. Hope to have all 5 of our Kiddos together for the first time in 10 years!
Maybe we can tip a cold one.

Labor Day works for me.

Thanks for the directions.

Finding the Frogs Not will be the only hard part

Brian, what does the L stand for.

I understand the BJ part costing $75

$75 is what he spends in gas each way inching along. But hey, ya never know, some woman may get tossed off an overpass to be followed by her swandiving boyfriend. Never a dull moment

Got that right but I have learned the surfing technique.

LBJ Lyndon Baines Johson, don't know if he gave head or not.

I am really looking forward to coming to a bash
someday and meeting more of you guys. Texas in
early September is very hot, and down toward Houston
the humidity can be as bad as Alabama. How hot is it??
Hot as two rats farking in a wool sock!!

When is the Texas rattle snack roundup you were talking to me about Mike?

We can time it to that.

I haven't had good Illinois rattle snack in years.

I'm guessing that around Labor Day in the Houston area you are looking at mid to high 90's with humidity close to the same. Racer, rusold?

When this started Phil suggested early spring of '05. If a state park was the selected site, as Bill asked about earlier, there would be a better chance of reserving that location. I'm already locked in for Labor Day festivities, and next spring is blocked off as well, but happy to do a lot of the leg work for this thing.

I'd opt for like Feb-Mar when I can escape the farking high of zero degrees here.

Cold Mod.

But when is hurricane season there.

Feb in N. Texas cn get tricky. Not unheard of to get the rogue ice storm. Not a big deal for you, but I stay home when that happens and watch the morons sliding into each other. March and April are usually pretty good months.

Rattle snake roundup? Which one?

Years ago, the one I was familiar with was held in Sweet Water,
Texas. Not sure when. The one here in Alabama is held in Opp,
and it is in the early spring(March).
I have you entered in the sacking event. That is a timed event
where they dump ten on a concrete slab, inside a cage, you pick
them up with your hands(to use a tool is wus), and but them in
a burlap bag. Your partner holds the bag. Lowest elapsed time,
without a bite, wins. Your DQ'd if you get bit.
