• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Texas BBQ Joints

I've not been to central TX... and the only barbecue I've ever really had in Texas was at Goode Company in Houston. This was 25 years ago, but they're still there. Back then, they were the best ribs I'd ever had...

Does anybody know Goode Company? Are they actually good ribs, or was that just my ignorance at age 16 speaking? (Ohio's only ethnic food back then was Taco Bell and some Korean places near Wright Patt AFB!)

I've heard mixed reviews the last few years.

Really too bad... when I was 16, it was very cool to get my tray, get some ribs, and a long neck, and actually make it through the line...

Back then, 18 was the age for everything, and at 16 (almost 17), I was 6'2", 185 lbs... I never got carded, though I was there with my dad anyway.

And, woohoo.. with this post, I'm a full fledged farker!

That's all fine. My favorite anywhere in Texas is Lum's. Located at mm 456 in Junction.

I love goin to Coopers in Llano. but havent been in over 2 years since i moved up to north texas...
