• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Now are these the types of tequila that you don't use lime and salt with?

I don't like to do shots with all that extra work just to make it taste good.

This weekend was my first experience with a "premium" tequila (Cabo is for me, I am use to Cuervo Gold). It was really smooth, with no tequila "after bite".

Does the 2 you mention go down smoothly?

Just planning my thanksgiving menu when I'll try and knock my brother in law out again :)

Really?

Unless we are talking about something different, isn't Margaritaville about $14 a bottle. If its the stuff I'm thinking of then it is like Sauza, which is crap-diddly-ap as Ned Flanders would say.

Is it a mixing tequila, or the premium stuff.

oh god...it's only 10:30 am...are you really talking about shots?

:D

NO Tequila tastes good as shots. You're all nutz.

Brothers, picture the backyard bash.

It was Saturday night, and a passing of the perverbial torch was going on.

Neil, the youngen, was already nappy time with his Schaeffers. He later awoke to us still doing shots.

It was the before and after photo. We were him 10-25 years ago, depending on which guy at the table you compare.

The sad part for Neil, was that in 10 more years of smoking and drinking, he was going to end up like one of the schlubs sitting at the table with him.

"You guys drinking shots already, it;s only 6pm" "you guys drinking shots already, it's only 8am"

Welcome Neil, and have a shot. The sun is up, so any time is shot time (when not working that is).

Excuse me but I'm going to have to take exception to what you've said and clarify your exagerations for those that weren't there...

The first comment was made BEFORE it was nappy time with the Shaeffers...

That's about the only thing I can correct.

That was one hell of a good time though.

Wish we didn't have the hurricane stuff, cuz that put us back a whole day.

So instead of taking a slower pace, Friday was wham bam slam, set up, throw POOPIE in, then alot of stuff was done at the same time, so we gorged, and then got too stuff.

All of the Friday prep time was pushed due to set up and shopping. So Phil had a monster load of food bought, intending to cook, but didnt get too.

He had the clams of course, but I wanted to try the scallops he's been talking about. Then there was the big ass pot pie for the Bandera. Never saw a pot pie that could feed 8 before.

Then, Brian finally woke up at 2am Sunday morning looking to make his peach cobbler, only to find everyone going to bed. Sorry Brian. You should have stayed up and made it. We could have eaten it for breakfast.

Phil, you wouldn't mind if Brian has the oven goin in the middle of the night would you?

And the smell of cobbler in the house would have beaten that 3am Bathroom Funkus Mod anyday.

Farking bathroom wallpaper is peeling off, the sheetrock below is soft, there are streaks on the hallway ceiling outside the bathroom door, and I had to pry the toilet seat up with a crowbar. And I won't mention the dead grass and fog lifting over the front lawn where the cesspool is buried. Damn..

absolutely nothing else needed--my key to find decent sipping tequila is first look for "Reposado" on the bottle, also should be 100% agave, bottled in Mexico. Figure that O should be able to buy a good bottle of sipping booze in the $20-30 range--more than that I would be looking for a good bottle of single barrel bourbon
Focourse the fun is in searching out the different flavors---become freinds with the guy at a local liqour store--they do know about what the sell--sometimes anyway

see ya

Don't forget that on Friday, before we started doing shots, we were passing the bottle around :D Then we got civilized and got out the glasses. Poor Neil probably couldn't have handled that!!! Cooties ya know!!
