• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I am looking to add more technical monitoring equipment. I currently have an Oregon Scientific monitor that is OK. I've been looking at the Maverick ET73 and the NuTemp NU 701 and NU 751 combination. The BBQ Guru is more than I desire and wish to invest in at this point. Has anyboby had experience with these units and have a preference?

Thank you,

Yours in BBQ,

Cliff

I have the ET73, it is a good unit. However, others have had problems with it. The Nutemp is the choice of most on here, but it is about twice as much.

kc is right, you only NEED the basic thermometers. However.........
I have the Mavrick ,and it works for me. The NuTemps seems to be the techie tool of choice, and it is what I would have bought [got the mavrick as a gift].
