Mine recently wigged out on me, it now reads 200 deg at room temperature.

I went to www.taylorusa.com

clicked on 'new products'

at the bottom, clicked on 'Request Info'.

I emailed them and they responded saying they will send me another one for free. They said they will send one replacement for free, but if it happens again the second will cost $5. Also, they said never to touch the probe to metal or it could short out.

I have the same model and the same thing happened to mine. I'll have to contact Taylor.
