• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Surf n Turf

Ms Jeanie... One day we are going to learn the location of that lake and your timetable to be there.... Then the Brethren are going to show up en mass!!! Be like locust or in my case, buffalo!!! Awesome as always!

An absolutely glorious dinner in a heavenly setting!!!! A new cooking show "Jeanies Amazing Tractor Rim Cooking".

As always, a stellar cook Jeanie:grin:.

cowgirl- those are some mighty fine lookin vittles you cooked up there. Don't look like any camp food I'm used to (sorry to say). From what I have seen you cook, you are an excellent camp chef.
You're very kind Redline, thank you!!

Dang, I don't know what looks better, the food or the lake/camp site. I think I'll just stare at both for a while. Awesome, cowgirl.
Thanks so much Castlepines. You'd be welcome anytime!

you eat better when you camp than most people do at home with all of their tools and equipment at their disposal :)

Amazing as always, Jeanie!
Matt, thank you!! I eat a lot of popcorn meals at home. :biggrin1:

Oh Ya Jeanie. I have been meaning to ask. In some of your camp food posts, I see fishing poles in the water in the background. Did anyone catch any fish? If so, what kinds.

Redline, we did catch a few catfish. I tried everything...but the walleye and crappie just weren't biting. I'll have to try again. Thanks for asking! :-D

Colin, thank you!! :-D

Mike, Thanks!! :-D

Will, I need a Shirley cooker out there. lol Thanks!

Nice! Like that grill set-up with enough space to move things around.

Did surf-n-turf camping a few years ago. Was cleaning shrimp in the twilight and noticed three raccoons had snuck onto a tree branch directly over the picnic table and were watching intently.

 I bet they would have loved to help you! Thanks food4thot!

Thanks so much Blue and Seefyre!! :-D

I would love that Gerard! Everyone bring a tent and favorite beverage. Thanks! :becky:

KC, Thank you!! This meal crowded the tractor rim, I might need to get another one. lol

Great looking vittles.

Thank you Oakswamper! I looked for the A1 marinade you mentioned in a venison post awhile back. Found some but it was the A1 New York Steakhouse marinade....not the Chicago style. I'll keep lookin'. :becky:

Jason, thank you!! I'll fed ex some to ya. :thumb::biggrin1:

Well looky here - I found my sleeping bag! Now I just need one of those GPS thingees...

All fantastic as usual Jeanie - I need to get into those crab legs - that's seafood my lovely wife can eat. I'd say you are by far the reigning queen of outdoor cooking - and whoever the king is, you could kick his ass!

Not sure why your apologizing for another camp cook  All of your camp cooks, including this one, have looked incredible!

Once again, amazing. I'm with Wicked Cajun, big brethren campout with you teaching us all. Thanks so much for sharing!

Sheesh, y'all eat better by the lake than I usually do at home. I think of camp food as burger and dogs... Really nice Jeanie!

Fantastic cook as always Jeanie! Looks like a cook from So Cal. A true Surf & Turf meal from where I come from!

Its been years since I've been camping and this summer just might be the year I start taking my second round of young-ins into the wilderness for some fishin and cookin. Used to go all the time with round one. Heck, I bet I could get my Daughter to go with all her kids! That would make 6 kids out in the wilderness! Bet the noise would chase all the bears away and maybe a few of the other campers as well.

Thank you guptaknows! I seem to cook the same meals every time I camp. I think it gets a bit boring for some. :)

Come on out! I wouldn't be able to teach the brethren anything they don't already know but it sure would be a fun weekend. Thanks! :becky:
