• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Fired up the egg tonight. Thw on some corn and and onion at 400*. After about 30 minutes, pulled the corn and raised heat to 600*. Threw on a couple of Berkshire porterhouse chops seasoned with Dave Klose Pork Rub. Flipped after 5 minutes and pulled after 3 more. Came out great. Here's the pics!

Sounds like you are really enjoying cooking on the Egg. Have you gotten into raised direct cooks yet?

It's 8:20 am and all I am thinking about is how good that grub looks and that I would like a taste.

Ooooo... Green Bean Casserole! :-D

The food looks great! Nice work!

Do tell, what is this trick you speak of??!!

Do you see the little cast iron melting pot which the onion is sitting in?

That, is the trick.

Holds the onion together (see it is cut up, but still whole) but cooks evenly and holds the butter or seasoning in the slits.

The individual slices look nice and translucent on the plate!
