Cooked up lunch for the family today. Tried my first CAB brisket and was very pleased by it.


Here's a pic after it was trimmed and rubbed with Kosher salt, fresh black pepper and garlic powder

Got a chimney of Royal Oak briquettes going

Also rubbed down a butt with Grub rub. Good stuff

Put the brisket and butt in the BSKD yesterday at 8 PM and smoked them overnight with Royal Oak and hickory chunks. This morning I whipped up some beans and put them and a couple of chunks of sausage in the BSKD. I also spatchcocked and rubbed a chicken with Grub Rub and put it on the ECB.

And these are the pictures of the finished product. Must have been good cause there wasn't much left:biggrin: .




I can't take credit for this, It's my Mom's Apricot Nectar cake and it is the Cat's Hiney:-D
