• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Whats your preferable container for storing charcoal? Ive got 4 half bags of different types of charcoal in my shop. They're just sitting on the floor. There's bound to be a better way to store charcoal and avoid moisture.

i just store it on pallet in my shed and if theres more, up in the loft. Have only 1-2 bags open at a time. Never had any problems with moisture..... unless you leave the shed doors open and the lawn sprinkler goes on in the middle of the night and soaks everything.

I store it in a plastic garbage can with some holes punched in the top to prevent condensation on the inside.

Stop by a fastener distributor other than Fastenall and ask if they have any of the metal kegs bolts come in. They work great. Another place to check would be a construction company or steel building erector.

un-opened bags on a pallet in the shed---open ones in a metal trash can with a lid and a few holes drilled in it.

I've got a bunch of square buckets that originally held cat litter purchased at Sam's. One will hold about 15# of charcoal, and they're handy for moving around from the garage to wherever I'm cooking. I never seem to have a whole lot of charcoal on hand, so I don't have a problem with bulk storage.

I use a steel trash can. I don't have any hole in it and it sits outside next to the Gator. I keep news papaer stacked in the bottom, a bag of B&B lump on top and my drop light coiled up on the side. I store 10 bags at a time in my shed with my apple and peach wood.

Neil, why not Fastenal? I know exactly where the local Fastenal place is and I know the guys there pretty well. Thats where I get my welding rods.

Can you name some other fastener companies.
