Finished and ready to Q this weekend!! Here are some pics
Charcoal grate has a couple of inches clearance goes in and out with no problem. Will season Sat. and will Q on fathers day!!Curious about one thing. How hard is it to get the charcoal basket into the bottom of the pit being that the grate has such a large diameter? It looks like it will hit the brackets you installed to hold your cooking grate.
Long live the drum!
They are so easy to cook on it is almost a sin!
I came across some "overpack" drums today at work. They are made to contain a damaged 55 gal. drum. They are about 30" in diameter and about 5 inches taller than a regular drum. Would make a major drum smoker but where would I get grates?
Anybody ever seen 28-29" diameter grates?
