• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Going to smoke my first three racks of baby back ribs on my new Davy Crockett,
Took skin off cleaned rubbed down with mustard and rubbed down with my home made rub, I will smoke them most of the day tommarro low and slow,
Im still a beginner but have had some good luck so far,
Lots of good advice here,

Southern Hickory crisp Northwest Apple Sweet Maple and a smooth smoking Alder

I bought a rib rack but they are too large for the Davy Crockett you cut them directly and half and it makes 2 three rack rib holders so this is what it would look like going in,
After I unwrap them,,, letting them sit there to come up to room temperature for a 1/2 hour

Yes, please!

Making me want to go freezer diving for a rack of bones on this end.

You're boldly going where few men have gone before with the temp probe in the center rack! Looking fine.

just got back from taking the razor out into the desert just completed the 4-Hour smoking process just brought the heat up to 265 to finish for an hour to about 190 deg internal temp , gave them a couple sprits of apple / Worcestershire once the temp came up, it will be a couple hours plus a little resting time before I can enjoy them bones, don't worry I will post some pics hopefully they will turn out for me .)

Looking good. I just got a rib rack for Christmas. Do you have any issues with keeping the rib on your ribs??
