• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I smoked BB yesterday and my new basket worked great. I used one divider at 2/3 put in one chiminey of unlit Kingford and one lit.I put a pecan split in the section that was left.I was up to 225 in 30 min. added the log to the chacoal and put another split in the small section to preheat,Put on the ribs.I was able to maintain a steady 225 thru out the five hour cook. I added one more lit chiminey at about the fourth hour. :D

Sounds good! Thanks for sharing!

BTW: did we miss your birthday last week?

Anybody else got one of SpiceWine's baskets yet?

I'm getting my Bandera on Thurdsay, and I think this basket is going to be a great tool. Is it the same basic principal as Big Al's baskets?

Yep! Got mine on Thurday, and used it on BB's and SLT Spares yesterday! Fantastic! Worth every penny, and great craftmanship.

Jeff-

Awesome! Thanks for your input, and I'm glad you like your basket! I'll definitly have to get one.

I found a Charbroil grate at BBQ Galore that fits on top of this basket so i can grill w/o removing the basket. And that makes 300 finally

Yep, the cast iron grates from my old Charbroil fit righ over the top, And you can remove the basket and set it on a couple of regular bricks and you have a portable grill. :D
