Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Baggs and I will be headed to Chicago this Saturday. We are staying at a camp ground near the lake. This will be the first empty nester vacation that my wife and I will take. We plan on alot of sight seeing and just relaxing. Anyone know of any great places to eat, please let us know. We also plan to get in a round or two of golf.

Oh sure... I'll be three hours away at the Shannon comp. I can't even sneak into your tent in the middle of the night.

Do you know where the campground is? That will help with restaurants. Here is a great site about eating in the Chicago area. Bill and I hang out there at times.

If you have more info on specific areas then I will be glad to help you spend your money! :-D

What is your time frame? When are you leaving? I'm just a few minutes off of 55 if you care for a cocktail on your way home on Sunday.

As far as golf goes, I wouldn't know much about where is the best place for that, but thay are pretty much everywhere including Cinder Ridge that is right on 55 at the Coal City exit.

And to think, I just paid for that shipping.

Yes that was a Brain Fart on my part!!! Sorry Boss!!

A bit of expensive but worth every penny Fogo De Chow I may have misspelled it but it is a Brazilian meat house with a great !!!!! Salad bar. Having said that if with 13 Plus choices of meat from steak to lamb sausage and chicken I still got two trips to the salad bar it is all great. Plan on $50 per person it is a nice vacation meal. It is on La Salle about 6 blocks from the river and downtown.

Chicago will never be the same.

All of those are good choices. The Weber Grill restaurants are a bit over-rated and over-priced, but still worth visiting.

How far do you want to travel for dinner, Jay? There are tons of places downtown (at least an hour from where you are) but there are also good places up north. I have some ideas but I have to look at a map.

I don't know if you'll be looking for things to do, but the Jelly Belly Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI is a neat place to visit.

I'll post some restaurant ideas later.

Have fun Jay.

Zion is about as far from Chicago as you can get before hitting Wisconsin, but you can do some excellent Striper and Lake Coho fishing at the Zion outlet valves in the lake that discharge hot water year round from the power plant.

Lot of beaches here are closed for E.Coli, but hopefully all this rain and wind changed that.

Good luck!

Zion is where the Shoes are from, too.....
