• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I am out of wood but I have a source who sort of speaks English. I would really like to get everything into the right pile this time. Does anyone know what is Spanish for:

Oak
Pecan
Hickory
Mesqite (sp)

And he has something that (I think) he calls fruit wood - what could this be in Texas?

R

According to babel fish (online translator at http://world.altavista.com/ )

Oak is roble
Pecan is pacana
Hickory is nogal americano
Mesquite is mesquite

Not sure about fruit wood. Lotsa different fruit grown in Texas.

I'd use that babel fish for peach, pear, apple and cherry, and hope its one of those. I wish I could tell you how to recognize each. Only cherry is obvious as far as I know.

Peach is melocoton
pear is pera
apple is manzano
cherry is cereza

Frog, nice link. Thanks.

I got a mexican guy here too.

I say, "Give me some f*cking wood"

He says "Se" and fills up the van.

Not kidding on this one.

I'm meetin a guy on SUnday to look at a cherry tree he wants to take down. Don't know the size yet but he says it's 40 - 60 years old so I figure a few truck loads. Any brothers in the Seattle area want to help and get some cherry wood?

Hey Al, wait for me to get to your place and we'll carpool from Parker.

Yep, my new contact BBQ catering guy said Cheery wood is the ultimate Qing wood and he said he has tried 'em all.
