• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I tried the SF Charbroil in a 2# pot of great nothern beans with the left overs from my Double smoked ham. It was awesome.

Try it on some bare boobies on the grill. excellent.

Fried potatoes for breakfast always gets a shake of Southern flavor also.

Southern Flavor, good for everything but cereal and jello.

When cooking dried beans, salt should be avoided until they are nearly done. Don't know the science behind it, but the salt toughens the beans and makes them harder to get done. It used to take me forever to get beans done, started avoiding the salt and only adding a bit of the ham at the beginning for flavor and they're much better now.

From what I remember from Chem 101 it the same idea behind drinking sea water. Sea water will take water out of the cells in our bodies, so salt in the water will have a comparable effect on beans. At least that is the way Doctor Thomkins explained it

ditto what Scott said; big time; unless you're using a pressure coker.
