Any of you fine folks (esp. you Georgia folks) have a wood source in NW Atlanta? I've got a family reunion where i'm doin the cooking and need either apple or pecan, and some oak. Cooking about 60lbs of butt and a 20lb turkey and need that wood next week.

I'd be much obliged if y'all could help

TIA...

Look on Craigslist.....I lived in Atlanta for the last 6 years and last year I found a guy on C/L sho sold me a full cord of white Oak for $80 delivered and stacked:eek: .......I know this sounds crazy as most everyone else on C/L had it for arod $180-225 but that's what I got it for!!! He was in the DeLuth (sp?) and had plenty of it.....I'm tryin' to find his # now but so far no luck.......

SP,
I use A.J.s on Austell Rd. in Marietta, just past Windy Hill Rd. This time a year, he has a half face cord for $75, and a full face cord for $125. I usually buy his cooking wood, which is a mix of hickory, white oak, and pecan, with a little apple thrown in. If you want a full truck load, its $125. I think a wheel barrow runs around $15. Anyway his pager number is (404)341-5858. If you have any questions, just shoot me a PM.

Noah,

Thanks... I really appreciate it. I'll give him a call.

Stu,
I hope it works out, but if you need some sticks in a pinch, just give me a call.
