• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Great thanks. Ive been looking for such a source.

I Wonder How Hard It Would Be To Make One . The Glue They Use Would Be Something A Guy Would Need To Know.

How has it held up so far?

Any quality issues?

Looks like a great price for butcher blocks!

I have had mine for only about 5 weeks and so far no problems. No warping, splitting, etc. It is a beautiful board with perfect wood and workmanship. I did apply tons of mineral oil on it which it really sucked up.

As posted above, I got the maple walnut and cherry 20 x 14 x 2. It is real heavy. I'm thinking about getting 2 smaller graduated sizes to make a "set". 18x12x1 1/2 and 16x10x1 1/4

They have the best prices I have found, no tax and reasonable shipping.

And FYI, I do not have any connection with them. I just wanted to pass on what I thought was a good deal to the Brethren!!

I am looking for Red poly cutting board material to cut the boards to whatever shape I want. so far through the place I work I have to purchace 2 4X10 sheets of 3/4" $245.00 a sheet I would like to find it a little cheaper somewhere else and I only need one sheet of this stuff. the $500.00 for the 2 sheets is tough.

I made a cutting board in a Jr High School shop class that was cherry and some special wood from Africa (maybe iron wood, anyways it is very dark and heavy.)

My mother used it for years, then wound up giving it back to me and I still use it. Now, get this... I made this thing 41 years ago. I'm sure the glue was something standard like Elmers.

Thirdeye, the one I made in HS shop class was red oak and rosewood. That rosewood is some heavy, hard stuff. I too gave mine to my mom. When she died, I made my sister take the board. She uses it every day almost, and it is still in good shape. I think your are right, it seems we just used Elmers wood glue. [shop class 1959, for the record]
My sis says she is keeping the cutting board "in trust" my grandkids. LOL

I have some pistol grips that are rosewood and they are lighter. I do know the teacher made a deal for the class to order it through a lumber yard, then really bitched about the beating the table saw took.
