• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Just got a WGA and wanted to test it out. With the whole mini throw down not bad timing!

Far as I got for now. Will see how it goes!

Took about 3.75 hours to get to wrapping point (160-165) on this 2lb chuckie, but it is time..... with some Guinness. Got three hours out of one load of coals minionized on the wga.

And to conclude. Roasted veggies in the wga where diced with parsley, garlic, onion and mixed with red wine vinagrette. Taters with green onions, shrooms and butter. Chuckie. All done on the little guy. Little dragons milk to drink.

Looks great! How do you like the WGA? It's on my "to buy" list

The wga is pretty sweet. Chose it cause I like the option for indirect cooks, but have no need for a conversion like one might do with a smokey joe. If I really need a barrel cooker I will just load it up

So yah, when I'm cooking for just the fam (2-4 people) or on the go I certainly see this being a winner.

i am looking for small cooker i can do small meals and also use as indirect for pulled pork etc. and can also sear steak, do hot dogs burgers etc.

final two are the weber jumbo joe or wga. i was very close to siding with the jumbo joe

you have just made my decision harder

thanks i guess

Hi bradymartin.... Here is how I would look at it. If doing more indirect stuff I like the wga design. And I love that the legs are fold over locks. I have used charcoal in it right now and shaking it doesn't let any ash out. I think what convinced me was phubars posts though lol. Just made the thing seem like fun on the go...and spitting out some great looking food! I'm sure a smokey jumbo can do much the same....but I would look at the lid lock on mechanism for transport and consider if direct or indirect grilling was priority (without mods). Either way I'm getting convinced more and more that the cooker just needs to be "sufficient".....the cook is what needs to grow:-D.....and I gots lots of growing to do.
