• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

So Cal yardbird.

Superior market has fresh leg quarters $.39/Lb. in 10 lb bags. Also has Pork butts cheap, but can't remember price.

.39lb!!!! Watch out Norco. Chics could have been engineered in some remote spot out near where you live.

I'm almost sure it's the medium. Surprised he didn't cook in the super drum.
It's a Medium. It cooks chicken real well. I use water when cooking chicken. It swallowed up 30# of quarters and bet it would have fit 30# more if layed right. Turned out great. Doctored Texas beans were a hit, disappeared last night. Gonna have to repaint fire box door. Paint coming off because of wiping off (death with silicone brush).

Curious what your time and temps were? Skin looks like you finished well. Color and sauce looks just right too.

Ran 250-275, not sure on time. Took less time than expected, went to check on them and stuck in Blue thermopen (we all know worlds most accurate) was 170ish. Did Plowboy or Hodedo(?) sauce roll in pan and back on while got pans ready. Pretty happy with result.

What do you figure Norco, maybe 3 to 4 hrs? (C'mon help me bro.).:icon_wink

2.5 maybe. Like i said i was planning on 3-4 but when checked they were 165-170 and I sauced and let set in cooker for awhile.

Our local Sacramento WalMart usually has fresh chicken leg quarters for 39¢ a pound, in 10-pound bags.

WoW! You guys would faint if you shopped where I live! I could only wish for prices like them! .39 for chicken?
BTW, those look great Pat!
