Smoking with citrus

Hi,

Has anyone smoked with wood from citrus trees? I heard that it gives an acrid taste to the food. Is that accurate?

Only to the same extent that any other "smoking" wood will give acrid taste-that is if it is misused. Cooking with seasoned citrus wood is fine. It is a light wood as far as smoke is concerned, more like the "fruit woods" than hickory etc.
