Smoking meat with honey locusts wood.

Smoked a brisket and a pork loin last night using honey locust wood. Turned out great!:boxing:

I think the one with thorns is black locust. I could be wrong on that though.

Honey locust and black locust both have thorns. Black locust has small ones and honey locust has the really long ones.

I'd be afraid of melting my smoker with honey locust. That stuff either burns hot or not at all.

Edit: Oops, was thinking of hedge.

Huge thorns. It does burn pretty darn hot.
