• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

My wife came home from the market with a 2.5 lb Irish Pork brisket. It's labeled as Mosey's Irish Pork. In reading the cooking intructions it seems to me that this thing is like a mock corned beef deal as it's boiled with an included spice packet. She thinks I can smoke it but I don't think so. What say you pros out there?

Im no pro (sorry). I haven't done it, but my best friend smoked a regular corned beef. Said it was the best he's ever had. Can't imagine a pork brisket would fare any worse.

Well if you cant smoke it I can...
Would love to find one of those and give it a whirl...

Try it or you will never know. Moseys makes a good corned beef.

Is it packaged in a brine? I have smoked a regular corned beef but I soaked it in water for a few days to draw out the excess salt. Not sure if you would want to do that with what you have or not. I have never seen anything like that.
