With all this talk about payouts and guaranties, has anyone seen this info for this contest either before or after the additional 12 teams have been added. My call to the person in charge has gone unreturned for 5 days now.

His email said they were going to modify but I didnt see anything. Council Bluffs had 12 extra this weekend and paid to 7 spots but did not do anything with the extra $2400 entry fees to round the top 10 or increase funds.

Well I emailed him right after he sent out confirmations to everyone asking if he could eventually send out a list of the field of teams. His response was that he was going to wait until the May 15 deadline for people to get their registration fees, and for those that did not would add in the people on the waiting list, to get a final roster. My guess is that he is waiting until he gets all the money in before committing to a new payout schedule.

BTW-Whats up with teams sending in registrations without checks?? I didn't know you could do that. Seems to me you get registered when you pay, not before...

I've heard a bunch of teams doing that. So they don't pay until they pull in to the contest. I personally don't like that practice. If one team has to commit to the contest, so should all teams. I mean, who wouldn't love to sit back and wait until the best offer to come along before we have to commit?

So when they send in their registration I wonder if they argue to get the lower prices because their registration was before an early bird cut off?

Did anyone see a payout schedule prior to the extra teams added. I want to say it was $10k guarenteed. But don't think I ever saw anything with the breakdown and how many places it would pay.

Top 5 was original payout. Not sure the breakdown.

I found the guarantee on the KCBS site. Thats some decent $ to only pay out 5 spots, maybe with the additional teams that will change.

Couldn't agree more. We all ought to have to play by the same rules.

I'm with you Matt! I'm just happy to get a call- I never really look to see what the contest pays out initially-it's pretty low on my priority list.
