Just a little different: I have the money, but if I do, I'll be the bad guy. Gotta have permission. or trust me, they'll be He!! to pay, later.
Maybe not so different?
Frenchman, thank you for your "blog" about the class. I hate to bring this up here, but since you mentioned it in public, I must address it in public. Myron does not want you using MS Word to type notes, and has asked me to confiscate all of your typed notes. Since you are a Brethren, I think I can trust you to just PM them to me and then delete the Word files from your computer. <standing with a clipboard, looking official>
Not sure how many a year. It seems he tries to do one per month but his comp schedule plays in there as well. I am headed there at the end of April.
thanks for the post Jay!!
I'm going to the one in June. I wonder how many Brethren will be there???
I'm a little surprised that there were that many people there.

Alright, what a night!!!
Here's how it went down:
6:00pm - Arrive at Myron's, lots of people there already, I get my grab bag from his daughter and then try and introduce myself to as many people as possible
6:25pm - See Myron, head over and say hello and shake his hand
6:25->7:15pm - Talk to people, look around then Myron let us know how the weekend was gonna go, what the schedule was like etc.
7:15 - Cat Fish Fry dinner, I had never had this before, it was awesome!! you have to eat it kinda like a pork rib, but you can't bite in too hard or you'll get the bones. Very tasty. Had some hush puppies, fries, fried chicken etc. as well, very good spread.
8:00->10:00pm - hang out by the fire, shoot the Sh!t with the guys, talked with Nick from the JOS team for a while, some great stories from him and from Myron.
10:00pm - Called it a night, pretty much everyone had left, I mean I did wake up at 4am and only had 3.5 hours of sleep last night, lol
All in all, awesome, Myron, his family, his crew, his friends amazing people. Really nice and friendly! Also, everyone else I talked to was great, surprisingly a lot of people who like me, had never really done anything like this before so it's a whole new experience for a lot of us.
Before I left, I made sure to take a picture with himI have some reflective stuff on my jacket so it looks a bit weird...oh well I leave you with this for the night, I need to be back there tomorrow morning for 9am....so that means I will be there at 8am

Jay, please contact me off list, I was at the school with you and want to share notes with you as I think I missed some information on the brisket procedure.

I really hope this helps, it was so worth it to me that I'm DRIVING the 17hours each way back down in 2 weeks to pick up a cooker and at the same time I am helping out a team that was at the class in a competition that weekend...lol I'm telling you, AMAZING!!!!!
Ok, enough typing, I should get back to work
Did I mention the class was amazing yet?
Jay
not for nothin, 60 something people at a class I was paying $750 for, id be pissed!!!!!!! I dont care how good of stuff he was showing you, or if he was just "tryin" to be a good guy and honored all the people who signed up, he's cleary in it for the $$$$$, or else he woulda told the 20 something extras to sign up for his next class.
