• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

This restaurant opened this past Monday. I have eaten there twice so that should tell you something.

brisket - very good - moist, good smoke flavor
pork ribs(st louis) - good flavor, could use a better rub and better cooking time, not tender enough, but better than most.
sausage - very good, not sure where they are getting it.

my wife has had the sliced pork and said it was good.

sauce is typical Texas bbq sauce, spicey, tomatoey, thin, no sugar. I like it.

Sides - this is where they need work. Too much mayo in the slaw and potato salad. Potatoes are slightly undercooked. I think they are using their left over baked potatoes.

I think on my next visit, I will just get stuff by the pound and forego the sides.

Ya know, I have a few friends in the restaurant business and none of them are above discussing their dishes and listening to comments. Since this place is new, now would be a perfect time to mention some of these small things to them. They might really appreciate it, especially if they see you as a repeat customer.

Now for the good part, one of the benefits of knowing these folks is they allow me to order things from from their suppliers. For example, maybe they will turn you on to their sausage supplier.
