• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Smokers in Des Moines

Bryan, that second one goes on sale at HD for $125.00. Question is how much time do you have and whats your time worth to fix it up?

Go getchu a new one brother!

I'm not familiar with the first one.
The second one looks like a Silver Smoker. $159+ tax at HD around here, Chinese Char-Broil! I paid $15 for a POS New Braunfels SS and cleaned it up and did a couple mods and had a couple frustrating cooks on it and put it on CL for $150 OBO and got a dozen responses but got sellers remorse and pulled it. I would pass on it.

I sold an OK Joe, identical to the first link, for $350 about 2 months ago. After finally getting a serious bite after about 3 weeks of on craigslist, the guy bought it site unseen. Mine was 1/4" and the one in the pic should be too. The smoke chamber is 15.5" x 31.5" (488.25 sq inches of rack). The thing is solid, I can't imagine ever having a need to fix it. Spray painting from time to time is about it.

Personally, I think $450 is a bit high unless you truly love cooking on offsets. That's good money that could be used to help pay for a new quality insulated vertical smoker.
