• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I bought a Smokermaster smoker a few years ago for about $500 or $550. That was about the going price for similar units at the time. I found all the info on the web and ordered it by phone. Nice people to deal with. It is a well designed and very heavy duty cooker. I like it. I am now unable to find their website, so I assume that they are no longer in business.

Anyway, in looking at other websites I see that units of similar size and quality are now selling upwards of $900. Of course, my is used, but I suspect that I could sell it for at least as much as I paid for it. What do ya think? Should we be buying smokers instead of stock in Google?

The best part is, if the price does go down, I can still cook on it.

Who'da thunk it? Good deal.

I'm of the buy it to use it variety. I almost bought a commemorative addition SRV Strat after Stevie died. But I knew I would play it and not pack it away.

Guitars are meant to be played, want to be played, would wither and die if you did'nt play them......I have a 57 gretsch that I need to put away but, I just can't and she likes the attention!!!!

An investment denotes that you will profit from it one day. I don't think you will profit from collecting smokers but a smoker can provide so much more than money can buy.

I also have a Smokemaster, I bought of one of my customers for $300.00 he bought it for 2000.00 Sweet deal yes......investment for future profit no...not unless smoking takes on the popularity of NASCAR or the NFL!!!

The 400+% rise in steel prices over the past 3 years is the reason the cost is up. If steel goes down so will the relative value of your pit. I thought Smokemaster went out of business?

If any of you decide to invest in a Spicewine I will be happy to store it for you.

Let's face it, if I can't help a brother who can I help.
