My daughter carved some pumpkins for a Halloween party and in the past I've mixed the seeds with a little worster sauce and baked them in the oven. Has anyone ever smoked any pumpkin seeds? Might give it a try,any suggestions?

Smokin Newbie told me he did some this week. Maybe he'll chime in. I need to try some, too.

Every year I just wash 'em and salt real good then toast in a skillet until thier nice and crispy. I just finished eating what I made this year so I guess I need more punkins.

I did some one year this way with some smoked salt and they were pretty good. Maybe you could put some smoke to them in the smoker then finish in a skillet if you like them real crispy.

I googled smoked pumpkin seeds and came up with some mesquite smoked with Hawaiian sea salt for sale...but no recipe. I would imagine you would do it the same way as you would in your oven...only add some smoke wood. Fire up that patio model bro.:-P

I just threw them in the oven while wifey was making the pumpkin pie, dusted with yard bird and they came out killer! Gonna for sure smoke the next 3 pumpkins when i carve them tomorrow.

Presenting Spicewine Pumpkin Seeds! Not smoked, but they sure came out good! I tossed the seeds with a little EVOO and then sprinkled on some Spicewine Hen and Hog Dust and some garlic salt. then I spread them on a cookie sheet and baked them at 300 for 45 minutes, stirring three times. Nice and crunchy with a BBQ flavor and a sweet nuttiness.
