• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

We were up in Warm Springs, Ga. a few weeks ago and ran into their home town hoe down. A couple dozen artsie/craftie booths, the wife's went that way the guys followed the smoke.
Ended up at a trailer rig with nice smell and got a sample of rib that was pretty good, but everyone around had a bowl; Smoked Cabbage. Turn the lights out and go home I'm keeping this for me!!!
Whole Cabbage big time cored, rubbed with butter inside, filled with sausage. 250-275 3 hours, wrap another hour (or what ever it needs).
Going that way but at the 3 hour mark wedge it up, more stock, more sausage, wrap and let steam..

There is now way that could not be good.ill have to give that a try.my wife said she is tired of beans.

Man, that looks good. Will have to try me some of that. I was in Q joint one time that served fried cabbage. It was just shredded and stirred in a CI pan with some drippings. It was really good, too.

I have smoked cabbage and it is good. Done it just the way described. After about an hour I wrap them in foil, and they will get done much faster that way.

Will have to give that a shot- I may not be as burned out on the "normal" bbq dishes as some of you... but I really want something different from time to time. Never thought of smoking a cabbage- will give that a shot. Might even dip into my conecuh sausage stash. They make it about 30 minutes from where I was brought up- good stuff- tastes like home to me. Finding it locally is pretty hit or miss... no clue why more stores don't carry "the best there is"

I'd bump the temp to 350, cut and wrap at about the 2 hour mark, Andulllie sausage was great. Might add some great tasting cured/smoked ham, for the next one.
Pic's tomorrow on the phone and a pain in the ass to upload.

Looks outstanding Randall!
