Smoke'em if you got 'em
Knows what WELOCME spells.
Hi fellow BBQ'ers,
Wanted to say hello and thanks for letting me join your site. Great info for a new smoker guy who recently received a gas smoker for X-Mas. Wanted to post pics, since no pics mean it never happened. After seasoning my new smoker, I threw 3 BB ribs on with a trusty rub I use. Used some great hickory chunks I get from a friend in TN.
After 2:45-3 hrs at 260-275 degrees, I pulled, then covered in foil to rest for 5-10 mins. I know I was risking losing all that pretty bark, but they turned out great. Probably could of pulled them 10-15 mins sooner, since a few pulled very cleanly off the bone.
Overall, very please with first smoke on this new toy. Now on to brisket or spareribs.....so many choices.
Can't wait to get access to the recipe thread to contribute!
