• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I could of swore I read some post just yesterday about a smoke generator on Ebay I think. Some of your are already building one but I can't locate the thread.

Anyway I don't know much about pellet cookers or how they work exactly and I know this is different. My question is, since it uses a electric air pump to keep the pellets burning, would it be legal to use in a competition? I understand it is not generating heat, so I am thinking it would be ok.

Thanks for the link.

After looking at the photos I am thinking a longer tube for longer then the 3 or 4 hour burn time the inventor states and I believe it would be better to locate the air tube above the lower cap just below the grate holding the pellets so it wont get clogged with ash. I would use a steel pipe threaded on both ends and use end caps. That would do a way with the hose clamp and would make taking the bottom cap off for lighting and emptying much easier.

I know I am reinventing the wheel but thats what I do best.
