smoke from a weber gasser

be nice to have some smoke on occasion when using my weber gasser. anyone ever use one of their "steam n chips" smoker accessorie?

I've put soaked chips in a foil package on top of the flavorizer bars and had good results. I havenever used the "steam n chips" accessory.

when you use the foil packet method..do you soak or dry? I noticed that dude on "boy meets grill" uses a 1/2 and 1/2 method....half soaked and half dried..with what appears to be good results.

Chips in the foil package for me. I bought some type of smoke box thingee (Hi Tech Term) and used it once. The foil bag worked better.

I soak all the chips I put in the packet.
