• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Like some many others on this site, I really enjoy chicken halves cooked on my PBC. This cooker is great at everything, but I think chicken is the absolutely best thing to come off of it.

I haven't changed things up much on my chicken cooks, but today I decided to dry brine using my recently received Naturiffic Garlicy Lemon seasoning salt. I dry brined in the refrigerator for about 9 hours, then hung the chicken in the cooker with the salt mix still on.

A little KBB, two chunks of pecan, and two hours later it was chicken nirvana. Both of my daughters and I agreed it was my best chicken ever, and I'm already being asked to make it again.

If you haven't tried the Naturiffic salts I suggest you consider it. Great products, and you are supporting a fellow Brethren. And there isn't much else left to say about the PBC.

Next time I'll snap a few photos before the chicken gets devoured!

Good salt rubs and chicken is a winning combo in itself. I still have to try his salts...look forward to it!

Wow thanks for the good words!
I can't believe I missed this.

I can't agree more though, the Garlikcy Lemon and Chicken is a great match. I don't own a PBC, but I hear it does wonders itself.
