• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Signed up for my first school today.

Signed up for Myrons school this afternoon. It takes place September 2nd to the 4th.

It'll be perfect timing. Class in September, pick up my Shirley in October. I'm really looking forward to it and know I'll learn a heep and get a wealth of knowledge.

Hoping to get into competitions eventually.

Myron's glass is great. He teaches about injections and rubs and times and temps and presentation. His whole hog is tremendous. The only caveat I have is his cooking style and class show you what to do on his smokers. A Shirley will cook different so there may be some adjustments to make but he gives you finishing temps and guidelines that are very helpful. I've only done his class and can't speak to any others but it was a great time and tremendous boost to my techniques. Take notes and pictures and enjoy a memorable weekend.

Great to hear from you how it was. I figured no matter what pits were used I'd have to adjust accordingly for my Shirley.

I'm glad actually so I won't feel anything was just handed to me and I will have had to learn to apply his knowledge and techniques in some different ways to work for myself.

I agree, I think he would get much more for his money if he took Rub's Swamp Boys class, might be just me though!

I was at Myron's class this past November. One thing is for sure, you will eat well!

I think the class will be great. I have taken 2 classes already and am signed up for a 3rd in 2 weeks. After that, the next class i will take is Myrons. Really want to learn whole hog and just experience Myrons class.

I plan on taking theirs as well. I don't really see how another class over myrons would be more worth the money or vice versa. I think if you pay attention and really soak it all in, all of these gentlemens courses will hold as much value as the others. I'd love to take johnny triggs school also and his is SUPER expensive after travel and all but I'll save and one day take it.

I'd hope so lol.

Whole hog, that's the part I'm looking forward to most of all.
