• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Here's the forecast for tomorrow...

Sunday...Partly cloudy and breezy. Highs in the upper 40s. Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph...increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon with gusts around 30 mph.

Should I head to Costco tomorrow morning and get 3 racks of babybacks and fight the winds all day?

Havent had Q in 3 weeks.
 
wind wont hurt the bandera to much... just make sure the wind cant blow straight into the damper..

Roll it over next to the house or use something for a windbreak. it works fine.
 
Of course you should. Rain snow mix tomorrow here. I hope to be done before the chit starts.:-D
 
Bandera is up to 150*. Ribs are ready. The wind aint so bad. Looks like the ribs will be ready right at kick off.
 
Wind is kicking my arse. Temps all over the place. I will win the battle.

Note that in higher wind conditions, when preheating wood, it is possible that the wood could ignite, burn, split, fall on wooden shelf, continue to burn, burn shelf, and burn wooden handles of any tongs that might happen to be on the shelf.

Started Brisket two Pork Butt in the Bandera and a Pork Loin on the Gasser to reiterate. Half day of warm sun and half day of cold rain Saturday the Smoker worked me to death (no mod mode) the rotisserie was not finishing the job so moved to the smoker for the last two hours Great on all sides. I love winter in New York ( when it stays the hello away) Pic later!
 
Its really no fun when its windy and cold out. If it aint fun I dont want to be doing it. We have been lucky as its been a very mild winter here but I can't see myself Quing during a regular winter unless I had a smoker made of 1/4 inch steel. It was fun for the first 3 or 4 hours. Maybe it's time for a WSM for winter Quing.

Can't believe you guys back east consult the forecast to decide if you're gonna smoke!!!! This is a year 'round passion, rain, sleet, snow, sunshine...its all good!!!!

Central Missouri here. The 'dera doesn't do so well in sub-40* and winds. When my fingers freeze just from feeding the horses it's time to stay inside!
