• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Folks, I want to carry a second rack for my Jumbo Joe when I go camping.
I would like some thing ready made, but can't find any thing,so I guess I wll be using a 14 inch Smokey Joe rack.
My question is how much distance can I put between the primary rack on the Jumbo and the second rack and still put the lid on the Jumbo?
Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance.

Why didn't you build a jumbo joe mini ...aka jimmy?

I don't really want to build any thing, but it looks like I will have to modify a Weber 14" grate. Was hoping to get a number on how long a bolt I can use and still put the lid on y Jumbo. No answers, so I guess I'll wing it. Thank you for your reply.

take the grill and grate to the hardware store and find out what you need. :thumb:

I'm guessing 4" carriage bolts. Example:

do a google search for steamer racks. Most come with folding legs.

The charcoal grate for a 22"Weber is 17" in Dia and about 10.00 that is what is in the Pic in Post #5. using carriage bolts it's adjustable too.
