Santa Maria Weber Kettle?

I was looking for grates on ebay for my Weber Kettle and ran across this item:

I did some searching on here and it looks like a long time ago in a galaxy far far away someone had the idea, but I don't think it ever got anywhere. Not sure why I would need this, but I just want it. Looks a little top heavy for a kettle too. Thoughts on something like this?

Not sold on the idea of paying $200 for the attachment for a 22.5, but that's much better than $400 for a 26 :shock:

You are right, it's listed on ebay for $149+$49 shipping.

Assuming it is built well, the grate shouldn't tip too much because each side is keyed into the c-channel risers. Having said that, it could get top heavy. Corn might be an issue. Also as DUBBGA said the price is a little high for me but they are probably buying 22" duct flanges for about $40-50 a piece to build it.

Yeah, I posted that about a month ago here. He now has a roti attachment for it that is pretty cool. I emailed him 3 times with questions, and never got a reply. Good luck.

I searched before I posted and didn't find your post. I see the roti attachment one on eBay, but not on their website there. I would not feel very confident with the response you have gotten though.

I guess you could try the phone number, but that's just bad biz on their part not replying to a potential customer's emails.
