• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I'm watching this on Food Network right now. Sandra is use a WSM! The thing is brand spanking new. the grates are still silver (were mine like that once?).

BUT... She started it up with about 3/4 chimney of "hardwood briquettes" which were really lump and no over fuel. On top of hat she put in a foil packet full of soaked wood chips! Someone needs to teach her how to iuse a WSM.

She just put a whole chicken onto the lower grate and she said that she is going to cook it until the internal temp is 180! She's also going to do ribs. Should be interesting.
 
Why is it other than the shows covering BBQ contests, and a few AB shows This "network" does not do a good BBQ show? What BBQ sauce did she drown the meat in? or did she use BBQ Sauce?
 
I saw that whole show earlier and it really wasn't aobut cooking. It was a show of some ideas. really misleading about what a smoker really is and how to use it. It wasn't educational at all. More like eye candy and some food mixed it. Lot;s of flaws....boiled beef ribs and even more... Scott
 
The made a coupl eof sauces but she hasn't drowned them yet. :-D

She boiled the beef ribs and then grilled them :shock: For he pork ribs she used BBs and she gave them a yellow mustard slather and then added only salt and pepper. She said that all of the flavor was going to come from the mustard :roll:.

I know that they don't necessarily show thing in the order that they happen on these shows, but her ribs are done and she hasn't taken the chicken out yet.

I just caught the last 10 minutes, but I'm a HUGE tablescaping fan, so when I saw the WSM, I had to set the DVR!! I'd been recording Barbecue U, and Steve Raichlen always has the Bandera belching white smoke in the backround so WTF!, My gal Sandra ROCKS! And smokes nuts!

Set the DVR on the Grill Girls and Iron Chef w/B Flay and Adam Perry Lang. Going camping to the coast for a few days!

I know she;s talented with semi home made....but really...basically a life suppor tsystem for a great bod!
 
She can boil me up a slab of ribs smothered in sauce any day of the week.
 
ever seen her bake an angel food cake.. quickest one ive ever seen. she pulls out the walmart special and tops it with some strawberries and whipcream.. i never laughed so hard in my life. cant stand watching her show...
 
I wish she'd show a little more skin if you ask me. Who watches her show for tips? I think if you are then you might have some homosexual tendencies deepdown.

The shinny new WSM was the first thing I noticed, along with the small amount of lump. I saw no temp gages so how did she know the chicken was at 180 internal, she just reached in and garbed it out of the WSM. But I must admit if I had her cooken for me I would not complain about the food.8)

The woman is an idiot. If not for her ample booosom and non-falbby derier I don't beleive she would be on tv. Her voice makes me want to do harm.
