• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Sams Family Membership is I believe $100 and what I have now is $45...Only $55 difference, but...My membership is about to expire, so..The only advantage I see is that I can go in early am...IS that an advantage??...I never see their meats lower and I see on here that people do find cheaper prices there...I'm 2 hrs from Costco or Rest Depot etc and Sams IS the only warehouse type near me....

I think you receive % cash back. I forget what it is but if you go regular youll make more than the difference back.

Last year was the first time using the plus card for me. Been shopping there since it was a PACE and turned into Sam's. I signed up again. I've been buying my gas there which is typically .30-.40 cents/gal cheaper. I shop there most every weekend. We go early, NO crowds! The shelves are not always fully stocked when they first open at 7am. Costco does not have early hours. If you wait till a bit later they should be stocked. But I usually never have a problem getting what I require. Cash back was more than 3 times the cost of the upgraded card. So for me the card is free and they pay me to shop there. I don't have to deal with crowds! You still have to deal with some nitwit workers, but after years of shopping there I know some of the workers, they know me and can get help quickly when required.
I know most don't care about crowds, but crowds will stop me from shopping anywhere. If they did not have the early hours, I would not shop there. Typical morning there will be around 20 others shopping. But I have to admit, since they added this as an upgrade from business to anyone willing to pay the upgrade. It is a bit more crowded. If you wait till regular hours your dealing with hundreds shopping at the same time as you. At the one's I shop at.
It works well for me. Being there early also you get first pick of the "reduced for quick sale" on meats.

I use to be a member at Sams and had a business card. Basically the same thing as the plus but I loved it. Nothing beat going in before everyone else and not having the crowds and all the people. I'm also a morning person and not to many places open early that you can knock your errands out early.

We quit going to sams when I found Gordon's food service. I buy ribs, burger and butts there.

For brisket, chuckies and steaks I go to a local butcher unless I run into a deal

This year I dropped my Sam's Membership but have kept my BJ's and Costco Memberships. It's a matter of what I use and what they carry and the distance traveled that made the determination.

I've had a Sam's Membership since 1996, but have not visited the store for the last 3 years. I'm just not crazy about the selection and the brands they offer. Also in my opinion; the prices on the items I use aren't any better than some grocery store sales.

Bj's and Cosco are near each other here, so it's a easy choice to make because Sam's if much further away and not in any direction of my normal travel.

You have to figure out what works best for you as well as what meets your needs.
