• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Sale on rump roast at Fareway in Cedar Rapids for 1.99 if any local bretheren can take advantage.

I will stock up on a couple for pot roasts, but I feel like I should cook one outside this weekend.

I was thinking Baltimore pit beef, Santa Maria-type preparation or a chuckie type treatment.

Anyone else have any more creative solutions?

Marinate the roast for eight to 12 hours before cooking.
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic
Fresh ground black pepper to taste
Cook till it hits 160 degrees, let rest. Slice thin and serve on hard rolls.

One of the next things on my list is to do Barbacoa...bet you could do that with the rump roast....

Cook it Baltimore pit beef style, served with a tiger sauce (horseradish based sauce), white onions, on a kaiser roll.

My wife had rolls and hot pepper spread on the grocery list, so I think she wants pit beef. (We already have the horseradish).
