I found Royal Oak lump (made in USA kind) at Wal-Mart yesterday for 5.27 a bag (10lb)...is this a decent price? I picked up 2 bags for my BGE...may go back for more.

xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I've only seen briqs, but if you can get the lump jump on it! Sutters used to carry it and it was @ $18 for 20lbs.
We pay about 6.00 for RO here. great stuff .. i was at wal-mart last week .they told me that what they had maybe the last RO lump they were going to get for this year.. so i came out of there with 25 bags.. wife almost chit when i got to the car and i told her she may have to walk home..LOL

$5.27 is the normal price at the WMs here when they have it in stock. They had about half of a pallet when I breezed through there the other day. I'll pick up a few bags when I go in there this week.

Normal price here too. And remember, not all WM's carry it. I have only seen it in one of the 8 in the area that I have been to. About a month ago I picked up 10 more bags. I asked if they were going to get any more in this year and I was told that most likely not. A couple of weeks ago, they had a new pallet in.... I may get what is left before I am done....

I've been able to find the 20 pound bags of RO lump at Gordon's Food Service year round for $10/bag. You can get another 10% off if you are with a business.

Menard's here has RO lump here in 8# bags for around $4.50. I have been using Seven Oaks that is made here in IA and get it at Hawgeyes for $14/#20, but I get good long burns from this stuff.

I've been paying $5.27 year-round at my Wally World for the 10# bags of RO. Once I discovered it, I never went back to BGE "brand" lump.
30# RO ==> 5.27x3 = $15.81
20# BGE (made by RO) = ~ $16.
So for the same price, I can get 10# more of the same thing at Wally World.
Luckily, my local WM carries it year-round.
