• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I have 3 3 packs of sealed cryo vac baby backs that I froze way before the use or freeze date on them. I was planning on cooking them Tuesday. I put them in the frig to thaw Saturday and they are thawed now. I guess I gave them too much time to thaw. I was concerned that they would take longer to thaw the middle racks. Would they be ok to leave in frig til Tuesday, or should I re freeze and thaw Saturday or Sunday? Thanks.

i have left fresh ones in the fridge for 5-6 days before. what temp do you run your fridge at? i upped mine from 32 to 34 since i had a couple of issues with bigger cuts never really thawing completely.

I keep the frig as cold as it will go. It is the garage frig and basically use it for drinks and extra meat

It might be pushing it a little, but I'd say the higher percentage is them being fine. When I buy pork for comp I've done it 6 or 7 days a few times and it was always fine. My garage meat fridge is pretty cold.

As long as the plastic is sealed and airtight I wouldn't worry, airtight packaging extends the lifespan of meats considerably

If they were frozen well before the sell by date on them, then they will be at least good for the remaining days before the freeze.

So as long as the seals are still intact you should be good especially considering it is the cold beverage cooler.
