• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I am cooking some racks of babybacks for a superbowl party. I had planned on getting up early and getting the pit going in time to cook them and have them ready to go by about 1:00. My question is this: Is tit OK to slather and rub ribs the night before, wrap them and pop em in the fridge overnight? I'm just trying to save some time in the AM.

Thanks,

No reason I know not to. Just prep'd 3 racks BB's, good coating of rub, but will wait and slather first thing in the morning (Plochman's mustard, Wrstr, Blies Hog Tenn. Red sauce) plus some more rub. Hope yours turn out great!

That's one of my favorite things to do with them!

Oh... You meant the ribs... As long as the rub isn't too salty, you should be fine. If the rub is heavy on salt you could start to cure the meat and the ribs would be hammy.

Thank you for all of your input. I fell asleep early last night , so it kinda shot the whole pre rub to hell. BOOBIES a good thing!
