• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

What do you thing of this nonsenses?

I went to Restaurant Depot last Saturday and they are have an Outside Table sale at the entrance.
There were some great deals so I picked up a few things and put them on my cart and then went into the store to do the rest of my shopping.
As we check out, the last 3 items were from the Sales section. They were three non stick fry pans. The scan doesn't reflect the sale price so I tell the person
at the register. The woman doesn't speak English so she needed to call someone to help. The next level person comes and he doesn't understand the issue either
as he wasn't able to communicate in English either. Finally, they get the front end manager who said the sales is over.
I told him I didn't understand, I said the sales was going on when I came in the store and now that I'm checking out the sales is over.
Furthermore the other items that I had from the Sales Section all came up at the sales price. The front end manager said that the sales was over for that item by the time they scanned it so it went back to the original price. The store was not even close to closing time.

Did you ever hear anything as stupid as this?

If the manager wasn't willing to make an adjustment, that says A LOT about the personnel and store policy. Integrity, as with many other facets, mean nothing in our current "business model" that our stores follow. Profit, profit, profit. Sad to see where our country has devolved to in some ways. And they complain that we shop online! We slowly circle the drain......... Sorry for the soapbox moment.

You had me at no one understands English. Immigrants often make fine employees, but if they have trouble with English, they should be in a stocker type position where customer interaction is rare until their grasp of the language is passable. I quit arguing with stores years ago. If a price is not honored, I leave it at the register and let them put it up.

I wouldn't have left the cart and walked. I'd have placed everything back on the shelf, and walked out.
For good

Let me correct that for you Mr Adams. "I would have left the cart and walked out. For good."

I would like to think I would have done it that way, but I probably would have asked the manager for their name and company ID# before I paid for the items, all of them. I would then ask to see the advertisement for the sale with the conditions of the sale and the time parameters of the sale. After getting this information I would accuse them of pulling a bait and switch because some of the items I did pay were honored with the sale price while the frying pan sale price was not. Last thing they would hear is I will be calling the corporate office, the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General's office and report this incident. Your name and employee number will be a part of my complaint. My receipt for the items I purchased will validate my complaint.

Can you tell I have done something like this before?.......
