• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I realize there are quite a few historical threads on Nu-temp but after reading thru several I'm still trying to find out if Nu-temp makes a replacement polder for the 701. Out of my three probes, one will only read HHH and the other two seem to be reading higher than they should compared to cheap insert thermo's, I'll try to test in boiling water tonite but does anyone know if they sell just the probe and how much they cost? The transmitters still work fine.

thanks.

Yes they do. I bought 3 replacements at the time that I bought my original. I have not needed them yet, but have them when I do need them.

I think new probes are about 9 bucks. Probes fail at 3 spots. The tip goes bad if it comes in touch with direct heat over 700 degrees. The connection fails where the wire enters the probe(this is wha tmakes it read HHH), or the cable compresses or frays and then it reads 2 low. Call nu-temp. they sell replacments.

Phil - you forgot the 4th - if they are never cleaned

Appreciate the input. Looks like it's replacement probes for
Christmas this year, temperature probes--- the gift that keeps on giving.
